Brooke Singer

Brooke Singer is a Professor of New Media at Purchase College, State University of New York, and holds the Doris and Carl Kempner Distinguished Professorship for 2024-2025. She earned a BA from Wesleyan University and an MFA from Carnegie Mellon University. Her work bridges art, technology, and environmental activism, focusing on ecological systems, community engagement, and bioregional politics.

Research interests include soil science (evident in projects like Site Profile Flags and Carbon Sponge), urban sustainability, and the intersection of art with technoscience.
