Brooke Fahrig Grasperge is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Clinical Veterinarian at Tulane University. She is affiliated with the Department of Veterinary Medicine, contributing to interdisciplinary research in biomedical and veterinary sciences. Her work leverages animal models to address complex biological questions in immunology, infectious diseases, and translational medicine.
Dr. Grasperge holds a BS in Microbiology (Louisiana State University, 2000), an MS in Animal Science (Reproductive Physiology, LSU, 2003), and a DVM (Louisiana State University, 2007). Her research focuses on immune responses in animal models, including studies on lung tissue engineering, antiviral therapies, and vaccine development for malaria and HIV/SIV/HSV-2/HPV co-infections.
Her publications highlight contributions to biomaterials science, virology, and mucosal immunology, with recent work emphasizing translational applications in veterinary and human health. She actively participates in Tulane’s collaborative research programs, including the Pilot Research Program and Immunology Division.
