Brook Reinhard is a Pro Tem Instructor at the University of Oregon School of Law. He serves as Executive Director of Public Defender Services of Lane County, the largest law firm in the county. With over 12 years as a public defender in Douglas and Lane Counties, he has represented over 1,000 clients and taken more than 75 cases to trial. His work focuses on negotiation theory and addressing mass incarceration in Oregon.
Education: BA in Journalism and Communications from the University of Oregon (2003), JD from Willamette University College of Law (2009).
Community roles include Director of Lane County Bar Association, Vice President of Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Treasurer of Public Defenders of Oregon, and Executive Committee Member of the Oregon State Bar's Criminal Law Section. He also serves as an elected director for Willamalane Parks and Recreation District in Springfield.
Brook emphasizes practical legal skills and systemic reform in criminal justice, advocating for innovative approaches to reduce incarceration rates. He resides in Springfield with his wife and seven children.
