Research Interests: Her work investigates macrophage activity and beta cell death in Type 1 diabetes, exploring novel treatments such as helminth-derived peptides and liver-directed gene therapy. She collaborates on projects funded by the NHMRC and JDRF.
Funded Research:
- Helminth-derived peptides for autoimmune diabetes prevention (NHMRC Grant GNT1087341, 2015–2018)
- Liver-directed gene therapy for diabetes reversal (NHMRC, 2015–2018)
- Insulin-secreting human liver cells analysis (2017)
Teaching: Coordinates Evidence-based Practice in Medical Science, a core subject for Bachelor of Medical Science and related programs.
