Bronwyn Hopwood

Bronwyn Hopwood is a Senior Lecturer in Classics and Ancient History at the University of New England, where she also serves as Curator of the Museum of Antiquities. Her research spans Hellenistic historiography, Roman law, Greek epigraphy, and experimental archaeology, with specialized projects on Roman artillery reconstruction and Pompeian studies.

She has received teaching excellence awards including an OLT Citation and Faculty Excellence Award. Grant-funded initiatives include 'The Past In Your Palm' (OEH Heritage Near Me) and the UNEMA Automaton Project. She convenes the ASCS 40 conference and has supervised diverse research theses on Roman imperialism and Ovid.
