Bronwen Williams (she/her) is an education focussed lecturer at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in the School of Art & Design. She teaches across multiple undergraduate design courses including Design Collaboration Studio 1, Experience 1: Spaces and Senses, and Object 3: Objects and the World.

Williams' research and practice spans installation art, sculpture, interactive media, experience design, and object design. Her experimental approach requires agility across multiple disciplines and skills including new technologies, with fabrication expertise in wood, metal, jewellery, ceramics, model-making, 3D modeling, creative coding, and digital fabrication. Her work draws on her Chinese-Australian heritage to examine contemporary cross-cultural identity.
Her recent scholarly activity focuses on competency-based assessment in design education, experience design pedagogy, and creative practice methodologies. Williams has presented extensively on educational approaches that foster student empowerment, intrinsic motivation, and technical skill development through personalized learning environments.

Williams serves as School Representative and Panel Member for Human Research Ethics Advisory Panel B: Arts, Design and Law (HREAP B:ADL), and has been involved in multiple educational grant projects including the EF Grant for research assistant (2025) and Course Design Institute Implementation Grant (2023). She has designed and led outreach programs including the In The Making Program and Future Creators Day. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes diversity, empathy, and student empowerment to develop intrinsically motivated, reflective, and technically skilled practitioners.
