Broda Tomasz

Broda Tomasz is an Adjunct Professor at the Graphic Designing Department of the Faculty of Graphics and Media Art at the Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław. He graduated from the same institution in 1992, then known as the State Higher School of Visual Arts. His work spans illustration, puppetry from everyday objects, and art historical reinterpretation. Notable works include the autobiographical cartoon What have you painted and the book Bookface, which reimagines literary figures in social media formats.

His research interests focus on visual storytelling, art education, and contemporary graphic design. He has exhibited widely, including From Rubens to Picasso at Wrocław Contemporary Museum (2014) and Brand Yourself in Warsaw (2000). Tomasz has earned multiple accolades, including the Gold Medal of the International Satyrykon Exhibition (2018/2014/2006/1993) and the 2008 Book of the Year Award from IBBY.
