Dr. Brittany Hagenhoff serves as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Columbia College’s School of Arts & Sciences, having joined the faculty in 2022. A native of mid-Missouri, she holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Central Missouri (2012) and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Missouri (2017). Her research focuses on protein aggregation and water chemistry, with a hands-on teaching approach emphasizing lab experiences and career-readiness.
Dr. Hagenhoff teaches courses including Quantitative Analysis, Instrumental Analysis, Chemistry I/II, and Forensic Chemistry. She prioritizes student success through personalized mentorship, ensuring students gain practical skills in instrumentation and lab techniques. Her philosophy emphasizes collaboration, stating, “We are all in this together to achieve our common goals.”
Outside academia, she enjoys family time, sports, karaoke, and caring for her two dogs. She actively connects students with internship opportunities to prepare them for diverse chemistry-related careers.
