Brittany Fox-Williams is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at Lehman College, City University of New York (CUNY), and a member of the Sociology Doctoral Faculty at the CUNY Graduate Center.
Education:
- PhD in Sociology, Columbia University (2020)
- MPA in Urban Policy, Columbia University
- Bachelor's degree from Cheyney University (oldest HBCU)
Research Interests:
- Examining racial inequality in American education and justice systems through student-educator trust dynamics
- Investigating youth experiences with police encounters and post-encounter coping mechanisms
- Evaluating Sociology's role in inequality reduction strategies
Honors:
- Russell Sage Foundation Visiting Scholar (2024-25)
