Bridget Rubenking

Bridget Rubenking is an Associate Professor in the Nicholson School of Communication and Media at the University of Central Florida. Her research focuses on the dynamic emotional and cognitive processing of mediated content from an empirical, social science perspective, with recent work analyzing physiological and cognitive responses to disgust-eliciting entertainment media and second-screen viewing behavior.

Her scholarly contributions have been published in Journal of Communication, Motivation & Emotion, and Media Psychology. She was awarded the Broadcast Education Association’s New Faculty Research Grant in 2014. Dr. Rubenking teaches courses on media and society, communication theory, and quantitative research methods.
