Bridget Caffrey is a Senior Lecturer in Social Work at the University of Chester, based in the School of Society within the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Society. She is the MA in Social Work admissions lead and teaches across BA, MA, and apprenticeship programs. Her research focuses on visual methodologies, social justice, and the challenges faced by minority ethnic social work students. She was awarded the University Social Work Lecturer of the Year in 2023.

Her funded project, 'Utilising a community cultural wealth model...' investigates African heritage students' placement experiences using critical ethnography.
