Dr Brianna Wyatt is a Senior Lecturer in Tourism and Events Management at Oxford Brookes Business School, Oxford Brookes University. She serves as Subject Coordinator for Postgraduate Hospitality, Tourism and Events programmes and teaches modules including Dark Tourism, Global Contexts of Hospitality, Tourism and Events Management, and Sustainable Events Planning. Her educational background includes a PhD from Edinburgh Napier University as a 50th Anniversary Scholar, PGCHE (with Merit), and multiple master's degrees in Humanities and Museum Studies.
Her research specializes in dark tourism with focus areas including interpretation design, visitor attraction management, heritage conversion properties, and festival experience design. She maintains active research collaborations through the Centre for Business, Society and Global Challenges and Oxford Institute for Sustainable Development.
Publications show strong emphasis on tourism experience design, with recent work exploring penal heritage reuse, festival storytelling methodologies, and ethical dimensions of luxury tourism. Research trends indicate interdisciplinary approaches combining heritage conservation, educational theory, and ethical frameworks.
