Brian Young is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance at Baylor University's Hankamer School of Business, where he has taught since 2018. He directs the Hodges Financial Markets Center and teaches Financial Modeling, Corporate Finance, and Advanced Corporate Finance courses.
- PhD in Finance from Arizona State University (2011)
- MBA from Southern Methodist University (2003)
- BSME from University of Texas at Austin (1993)
His research focuses on Executive Compensation and relative performance evaluation mechanisms. He brings practical industry experience from his prior career as a mechanical engineer and product manager to finance education. His 2022 publication in the Review of Finance examines peer firm selection in executive pay structures.
