Ryan C. Y. Lee is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Hankamer School of Business, Baylor University. He holds a PhD in Finance from the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, complemented by an MSc in Investment and Wealth Management from Imperial College London and a BA in Economics and International Affairs from NCCU, Taiwan.

Ryan’s research emphasizes empirical asset pricing, financial markets, and technology and innovation. His working papers explore topics such as the value effect in technology stocks, corporate adaptation during crises like the COVID-19 pandemic, and disruptive technologies in retailing. He also investigates innovation spillovers in non-patenting firms as part of ongoing work.
At Baylor, Ryan teaches Investment Analysis (undergraduate). Previously, he served as a teaching assistant at Oxford for courses including Asset Pricing II, Investing in Public Equity, and Finance.
