Brian Miller

Brian Miller, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in emergency medicine and EMS, with dual board certification in both fields. Currently, he serves as Deputy Medical Director for the Dallas Fire-Rescue Department and the UTSW/Parkland BioTel EMS System, overseeing 11 North Texas EMS agencies. He also acts as Associate System Medical Director for the Office of the Medical Director, supporting MAEMSA System/MedStar Mobile Healthcare in Fort Worth.

Education: Medical degree from McGovern Medical School at UTHealth (formerly UT Medical School at Houston), residency in emergency medicine at Indiana University, and an EMS fellowship at UT Southwestern.

Research interests focus on prehospital emergency care and out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. Professional memberships include the National Association of EMS Physicians, American College of Emergency Physicians, Texas Medical Association, and Dallas County Medical Society.
