Brian Levy

Dr. Brian Levy is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Rochester. He has held significant leadership roles in the ophthalmic industry, including CEO of InflammX Therapeutics and Chief Medical Officer at Aerie Pharmaceuticals and Bausch & Lomb. His research focuses on the inflammasome pathway of inflammation, targeting Connexin43 hemichannel modulation for treating diseases like Diabetic Retinopathy (DR), Diabetic Nephropathy (DN), and Geographic Atrophy (GA). During his tenure at Bausch & Lomb and Aerie Pharmaceuticals, he contributed to the development and FDA approval of multiple therapies, including Rhopressa and Roklatan for glaucoma, and Retisert for posterior uveitis.
