Brian Lee

Brian Lee, MD, Ph.D is a Visiting Associate Professor in Biology and Biological Engineering at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. He also serves as the Director of Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery at the same institution.

Dr. Lee’s research focuses on developing neurorestorative technologies and cognitive-based brain-computer interface (BCI) devices for patients with movement disorders and spinal cord injuries. His work explores the use of intracranial subdural electrocorticography (ECoG) electrodes to decode somatosensory information and engineer artificial sensation through cortical stimulation, aiming to create closed-loop BCI systems.
