Brian K Arbic

Brian K. Arbic is a Professor in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Michigan. He holds a PhD in Physical Oceanography from MIT/Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (2000) and a BS in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Michigan (1988). His research focuses on global ocean dynamics, including internal tides, gravity waves, mesoscale eddies, and tsunamis. He collaborates with institutions like NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab, NOAA, and international partners to advance ocean modeling and satellite missions (e.g., SWOT and S-MODE).
