Brian J. Hall is a tenured Professor of Global Public Health at NYU Shanghai and Affiliated Professor at NYU's School of Global Public Health in New York. He serves as Director of the Center for Global Health Equity and holds adjunct roles at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Sun Yat-sen University. His expertise spans global mental health, migrant health, and digital interventions. Hall earned his PhD in Clinical Health Psychology from Kent State University, with postdoctoral training at Johns Hopkins and UNC-Chapel Hill.
Education: PhD in Clinical Health Psychology (Kent State University), NIMH T32 Fellowships in Traumatic Stress and Psychiatric Epidemiology.
Research focuses on scalable mental health interventions, migration health equity, and cultural adaptations of WHO programs.
