معرفی
Brian Grady is a Professor and the Douglas and Hilda Bourne Chair of Chemical Engineering at the University of Oklahoma, where he leads the Institute for Applied Surfactant Research. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1994) and a B.S. from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (1987). His research focuses on polymers, surfactants, and carbon nanotube composites, with emphasis on polymer recycling, biodegradable materials, and interfacial phenomena.
Grady’s work includes advancing polymer blend compatibilization, surfactant adsorption mechanisms, and nanocomposite development. He has authored over 160 journal articles, 12 book chapters, and a seminal book on carbon nanotube-polymer composites. His honors include Fellowships from the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and Society of Plastics Engineers, and leadership roles in professional societies like SPE.
Current research spans biobased materials, self-healing polymers, and applications in biomedical and environmental engineering. His lab collaborates with industry on projects like enhanced oil recovery and sustainable chemical processes. Grady advises numerous graduate students and postdocs, contributing to the next generation of materials scientists.
