Brian Dougherty Denman serves as an Hourly Teacher at Stockholm University's Department of Education, where he is affiliated with the International and Comparative Education Research (ICER) group. His work focuses on the intersection between theory, policy and pedagogy applied to comparative and international inquiry of global educational issues.
Dr. Denman specializes in comparative and international education with particular expertise in international higher education, internationalisation processes, and personalized learning assessments. His research encompasses higher education teaching and learning methodologies, both qualitative and quantitative research designs, and comprehensive education systems and policy analysis. With over three decades of experience spanning North America, Australia, and Northern Europe, his scholarly work addresses global educational challenges through a comparative lens.

His international engagement includes participation in PhD disputations across China, Japan, New Zealand, and Sweden, reflecting his truly global scholarly network and impact.
