Shiri Breznitz is a Professor at the University of Toronto, cross-appointed to the Rotman School of Management and the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy. She is also the Ralph and Roz Halbert Professor of Innovation.

Her research focuses on innovation, technology commercialization, and regional economic development, with a particular emphasis on the role of universities in innovation ecosystems and the economic impact of biotechnology and intellectual property. She has contributed to global academic discussions through her editorship at Progress in Economic Geography Journal and membership on the Scientific Board of the Journal of Technology Transfer.
