Brett Martin

Brett Martin, DC, MSAc, is a Professor in the Basic Sciences Department at National University of Health Sciences (NUHS) Florida. He holds dual degrees from NUHS (DC in 2009, MSAc in 2011) and an MPH from Purdue University (2018). His clinical experience spans roles in drug rehabilitation, family practice chiropractic care, PTSD clinics, and pain management. Dr. Martin teaches biochemistry, clinical biochemistry, nutritional biochemistry, medical genomics, and botanical medicine at NUHS Florida. His research focuses on nutritional biochemistry, integrative medicine, and the efficacy of acupuncture in treating hypertension. He has co-authored studies on statin drug effects, oral contraceptive nutrient depletions, and acupuncture therapies. Collaborations include work with Dr. Frank Yurasek on plum blossom needle therapy and Dr. Daniel Richardson on statin-related nutrient depletions.
