Brett Hutchins

Brett Hutchins is Professor of Media and Communications and Deputy Dean (Research) in the Faculty of Arts at Monash University, where he is also affiliated with the School of Media, Film and Journalism. He is an active academic leader, former Australian Research Council (ARC) Future Fellow, and supervisor of PhD and Masters research projects.

His research focuses on the intersection of media, technology, and environmental change, particularly in the domains of sports media, environmental communication, digital journalism, and mobile media. He critically examines power dynamics in media systems and how they shape public discourse and policy.
