Brett Gunn is a Lecturer in the Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Biomedical Sciences at the University of New Hampshire's College of Life Sciences and Agriculture. He holds a Doctorate in Kinesiology & Exercise Science from the University of South Carolina. His teaching responsibilities include courses such as Human Anatomy & Physiology Labs, Mammalian Physiology, and Undergraduate Teaching Experience.
Gunn's research focuses on concussion management in athletes, neurodevelopmental disorders, and the intersection of exercise physiology with neurological recovery. His work examines how conditions like ADHD influence concussion risk and recovery, as well as the application of exercise interventions to alleviate post-concussive symptoms. He has contributed to high-impact studies through the NCAA-DOD CARE Consortium and other collaborative initiatives.
His publications (2018-2023) highlight trends in athlete mental health comorbidities, neurorehabilitation strategies, and epidemiological analyses of concussion risk factors. Gunn's research bridges sports medicine, neurology, and exercise science to improve outcomes for injured athletes. His office is located in Rudman Hall, Durham, NH.
