Brett Feger, M.S., M.A., is an Instructor of Biology and Faculty Athletics Representative at Ave Maria University. He holds a B.A. in Biology from Knox College, an M.S. in Zoology from Western Illinois University, and an M.A. in Theology from Ave Maria University. His research and teaching integrate fisheries biology, environmental science, and theology, emphasizing an Aristotelian-Thomistic framework to explore creation's order and human stewardship. He has worked in fisheries consulting, academia, and public sectors, focusing on fish habitat, hydrology impacts, and non-native species. Additionally, he advocates for student-athletes and engages in community roles like RCIA teaching and mentoring couples through Campus Ministry.
Prof. Feger’s research spans ecological and philosophical domains, including studies on fish population dynamics and essays on interdisciplinary ethics. He balances academic rigor with pastoral involvement, reflecting his commitment to holistic human formation.
