Brent Kidd, M.D. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology, Pain and Perioperative Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He also serves as the Associate Director of the Division of Critical Care Medicine and the Medical Director of Sedation Services for The University of Kansas Health System.
Education:

- Residency in Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB)
- Clinical Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Emory University
Research Interests focus on mechanical circulatory support devices in peri-cardiac surgery, ICU quality improvement measures, and sedation protocols in critical care settings. His clinical expertise spans Cardiothoracic Surgical ICU (CTICU), Cardiac ICU (CICU), and operating room anesthesiology practice.
Publications highlight collaborations in critical care anesthesiology, including studies on ICU subspecialty sustainability, delayed kidney decline post-bypass, and anticoagulation reversal strategies. His work addresses clinical challenges in cardiac surgical bleeding and postoperative care.
