Dr. Brenna Levine is an Assistant Professor in Biological Sciences at Kean University, where she directs the Levine Lab. She holds a PhD in Biology from the University of Arkansas.
Her research examines ecological and evolutionary responses to human-caused environmental change, focusing on invasive species dynamics and reproductive ecology. Uses interdisciplinary approaches combining field biology, molecular genetics, bioinformatics and evolutionary theory with model systems including spotted lanternflies, snakes, and bed bugs.
Current investigations include urban adaptation in invasive insects, facultative parthenogenesis in reptiles, and insecticide resistance evolution. Teaches courses in biology and maintains active research programs involving undergraduate students.
