Dr. Brendan Anthony serves as Senior Lecturer at Griffith University's Queensland Conservatorium, where he contributes to music education and research. He holds dual appointments as Member of the Creative Arts Research Institute (2021-present) and previously with the Queensland Conservatorium Research Centre (2016-2021).
His educational background includes a Master of Music Research (2011-2015) and Doctorate of Education (2016-2020), both from Griffith University. He maintains Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), recognizing excellence in teaching practice.
Anthony's research focuses on popular music production pedagogy, examining studio learning environments, music technology integration, and cultural contexts of music education. His work bridges practical production techniques with academic scholarship, emphasizing hands-on learning approaches in higher education settings.
Analysis of his 26 publications (2013-2023) reveals consistent output in music education journals and creative works, with recent emphasis on spatial design for music production teaching, mixing as performance, and cultural dimensions of music technology education.
