Dr. Brenda Zollitsch is a Lecturer at the Muskie School of Public Service within the University of Southern Maine. She joined USM full-time in 2022 after serving as a Senior Policy Analyst for a national environmental nonprofit and holding leadership roles at Boston University School of Medicine and a Maine youth development foundation.

- M.A. in International Relations with a focus on Resources and Environmental Management, Boston University
- B.A. in International Relations, University of Maine
Her research and teaching emphasize environmental policy, organizational leadership, and sustainability. She currently contributes to social science research on microplastics pollution in Maine's waters through a University of Maine team collaboration.
- Switzer Environmental Fellow
Dr. Zollitsch serves as a professional facilitator and strategic planner, aiding Maine communities in stormwater management. She teaches courses in applied research methods, governance, policy analysis, organizational leadership, sustainable communities, and grant writing.
