Brenda Shaughnessy is a Professor of English and Creative Writing at Rutgers University-Newark, where she joined the faculty in Fall 2011. Previously, she taught at Princeton University, New York University, and The New School. As poetry editor of Tin House Magazine, she has established herself as a significant figure in contemporary American poetry.
