Brenda Ogle is an Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota, affiliated with the Department of Biomedical Engineering and the Materials Science and Engineering program. Her research focuses on advancing regenerative medicine through innovative stem cell studies and tissue engineering technologies.
The Neural Interface Technology Research and Optimization Laboratory, led by Ogle, develops in vivo model systems to investigate human stem cell fusion, differentiation, and expansion in animals. Key research objectives include elucidating the mechanisms of stem cell fusion and applying these insights to regenerate heart tissue. The lab also innovates tools like multiphoton flow cytometry for stem cell analysis.
