Dr. Bren LeFrancois is a Professor in the School of Social Work at Memorial University of Newfoundland, located in St. John's College. Previously, they held tenured faculty positions at Laurentian University and taught part-time at the University of Kent and Anglia Ruskin University. Their research focuses on Mad Studies, critical disability studies, and critical childhood studies, with an emphasis on challenging psychiatrization, sanism, and systemic oppression.
