Brandon Shapiro

Brandon Shapiro is a Whyburn Research Associate and Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Virginia, where he combines research and teaching responsibilities within the mathematics department.

Dr. Shapiro earned his PhD in mathematics from Cornell University under the supervision of Inna Zakharevich. Prior to his current position, he worked as a researcher at the Topos Institute, an organization dedicated to advancing applied category theory.
