Brandon Quarles serves as the Director of the Law Library and Professor of Law at Baylor University School of Law. He oversees library operations, including budgeting, staff supervision, collection development, and technological implementation, ensuring alignment with the Law School's educational and research missions.
After earning his J.D. from the University of Mississippi (1993) and a Master of Library Science from the University of North Texas (1995), he held roles at the University of Richmond School of Law before joining Baylor in 1998. He co-authored Researching Texas Law (4th ed. 2019) and Specialized Topics in Texas Legal Research (2005), alongside book chapters and articles on legal research methodologies.
Quarles teaches first- and second-quarter research classes in the Legal Analysis, Research, and Communications (LARC) program. He chaired ABA accreditation reviews and coordinated the Law School's relocation to the Sheila and Walter Umphrey Law Center in 2001.
