Bram Veenhuizen is a Lecturer at HAN University of Applied Sciences, affiliated with the Automotive Research Lectorate under the Academy of Engineering and Automotive. He specializes in green mobility, hydrogen technology, and sustainable energy systems. His research focuses on developing solutions for emission reduction in vehicles, including electric, hydrogen, and sustainable combustion engines. He emphasizes bridging education and industry through student projects and partnerships with companies like Ten Kate Racing.
Key research projects include the H2 Demonstrator hydrogen trailer, hydrogen systems in energy hubs, and the HUBRIS driving simulator. He collaborates with organizations like Brainport Industries Campus and Volta Energy to advance sustainable transportation. Veenhuizen also contributes to educational innovation, designing curriculum updates and prototyping methodologies.
He will retire in July 2025 after 20 years at HAN, during which he grew the Automotive Research Lectorate to 25 FTEs.
