Brady Bowman is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Penn State, specializing in classical German philosophy (Hegel, Schelling, Jacobi). Educated at St. John’s College and Freie Universität Berlin (MA, PhD), he coordinates research on German Idealism and translates Fichte.
As vice-president of the International Hegel Society and co-editor of Hegel-Studien, he promotes scholarship in historical and systematic philosophy. His monograph Hegel and the Metaphysics of Absolute Negativity (2013) reinterprets Hegelian dialectics.
