Bradley Collins is a Professor in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Temple University's College of Public Health. He is also a Member in the Cancer Prevention and Control Program at Fox Chase Cancer Center. Dr. Collins has played a foundational role in developing graduate education in his department, having served as the founding Graduate Program Director for seven years, leading the launch of the PhD and online MPH programs. He is the founding director of the Health Behavior Research Clinic (HBRC), which has sustained an extramurally funded research program for over 18 years.
His research focuses on reducing health disparities through community-based behavioral interventions in tobacco control, maternal and child health, and substance use. He applies clinical health psychology frameworks to design and evaluate multilevel interventions targeting low-income and underserved populations, particularly within the WIC system. His work includes randomized controlled trials on smoking cessation among maternal smokers and breastfeeding promotion.
The recent publications reflect a strong trend in translational and community-engaged research, with emphasis on tobacco exposure reduction, digital health tools, health equity, and integration of preventive services into existing public health systems. His studies frequently involve interdisciplinary collaboration and mixed-methods approaches.
His scientific contributions have been recognized through several awards:

He teaches core courses in the MPH and PhD programs and electives in undergraduate public health. He also serves as an associate editor for Translational Behavioral Medicine.
The Health Behavior Research Clinic (HBRC), which he founded, is central to his research operations, supporting applied, community-based intervention studies focused on health behavior change and equity.
