Brad Upham

Brad Upham serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics and Human Development at Michigan State University, where he leads the Research Translation Core for the MSU Superfund Research Program Center (MSU-SRP) focused on dioxin contamination in Michigan's Tri-Cities region.

His academic credentials include:

• Master's in Environmental Toxicology and Engineering

Dr. Upham's research investigates molecular-level alterations in cell signaling pathways caused by environmental carcinogens and contaminants, with emphasis on adverse health outcomes. He concurrently studies protective interactions between natural products and these pathways to mitigate toxic effects, positioning his work at the intersection of environmental toxicology and public health intervention.

Through the MSU-SRP leadership role, he directs research translation efforts converting laboratory findings into community-focused applications for populations affected by industrial pollutants.
