Boyu Li

Boyu Li is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at New Mexico State University's College of Arts and Sciences. His research focuses on operator algebras, functional analysis, and their connections to semigroup theory and dynamical systems. Current investigations include universality properties of reservoir computing systems, Wold decompositions for semigroup actions, and C*-algebra constructions using Zappa-Szép products of groupoids.

Li directs the NMSU Analysis Seminar and maintains active research collaborations on topics spanning operator dilation theory, self-similar actions on graphs, and applications of operator algebras to computational models. His work bridges abstract operator theory with applied mathematical modeling, particularly in dynamical systems and signal processing.
