Boro Mioč is a Full Professor at the University of Zagreb's Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Animal Science and Technology. His work spans teaching, research, and administrative leadership, with a focus on sheep and goat production systems.
- Education: Doctoral, Master's, and Graduate theses completed at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Agriculture (1982–1997).
Research interests include sheep and goat milk/meat production, genetic selection, and conservation of indigenous livestock breeds. His publications highlight collaborations with international institutions and cover topics like nutritional interventions, lactation studies, and genomic characterization.
Notable projects include genomic profiling of Croatian sheep breeds (funded by the Croatian Science Foundation) and EU-supported initiatives to enhance agricultural education quality. He has held leadership roles such as Head of Postgraduate Studies, Vice Dean for Science, and representative on national animal welfare commissions.
