Dr. Borislav Petković is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Banja Luka. His research focuses on crop productivity, forage legumes (particularly red clover and birdsfoot trefoil), soil quality, and agronomic practices in agroecological conditions. He has contributed to over 20 peer-reviewed publications since 2010, addressing topics like plant genetics, environmental adaptation, and sustainable farming systems.
Key projects include evaluating grassland productivity in the Republic of Srpska and investigating genotype-environment interactions in cereal crops. His work emphasizes practical applications for improving agricultural practices and enhancing rural livelihoods.
Recent studies highlight nitrogen fertilization effects on grasslands, seed wheat production in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and red clover adaptation to acidic soils. He collaborates with institutions like the University of Kragujevac and the University of Novi Sad on projects funded by national and international grants.
