Bora Yoon is a Korean-American composer, vocalist, and sound artist serving as Assistant Professor of Music Composition at Reed College since 2023. Classically trained in voice, violin, and piano, her interdisciplinary practice bridges traditional forms with experimental technologies.
Her research explores:
- Electroacoustic composition and spatial audio design
- Immersive performance with new media
- Cross-cultural sound art using instruments from diverse historical periods
- Music for dance, theater, and film
Yoon has received significant recognition including:
