Bonnie Zielinski is a Special Lecturer in the Department of Art, Art History and Design at Oakland University. She teaches foundational and advanced courses including Visual Communications I, II, III; Typography I, II, III; and Graphic Design I, II, III. Her academic background includes a BFA in Advertising Design from the College for Creative Studies and an MFA in Design from Cranbrook Academy of Art.
Her research focuses on Graphic Design, Typography, and Brand Identity, with work spanning corporate branding, publication design, and visual communication systems. These interests directly inform her pedagogical approach in training the next generation of designers.
Bonnie has received over 40 prestigious awards recognizing excellence in design, including honors from:
