Bogusław Grabowski

Bogusław Grabowski, born in 1955 in Sopot, is a renowned organist, composer, and full professor at the Academy of Music in Gdańsk. He lectures on organ playing, practical harmony, liturgical accompaniment, organ improvisation, and organ construction/musical acoustics. As founder and long-time head of the Department of Church Music, he has shaped academic training in this specialized field.

Research & Expertise: He specializes in organ design, construction, and conservation, collaborating with international organ firms as a consultant and expert. His original designs include instruments for the Academy of Music's Department of Church Music and the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy in Gdańsk.

Professional Roles: Since 1985, he has served as Chief Organist of the Co-Cathedral Basilica of St. Mary's in Gdańsk. He directed the international organ construction committee for St. Mary's instrument and chairs the Polish side of such technical approvals.

Artistic Impact: A cultural organizer, he has curated over 1,000 concerts in international festivals and concert series, including the annual St. Mary's Organ Evenings and Music at the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy.
