معرفی
Prof. Bofu Yu is a Professor in Hydrology at Griffith University's School of Engineering and Built Environment, serving as Head of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Discipline. He specializes in hydrologic modeling, soil erosion, and climate impacts, with leadership roles including Head of School and academic program management. His research focuses on rainfall erosivity, infiltration modeling, and sediment transport, with contributions to the CLIGEN and WEPP models. He has led numerous funded projects in Australia and internationally, addressing land degradation, water resources, and climate change. Prof. Yu holds a PhD from Johns Hopkins University and BSc from Peking University, with extensive consultancy experience for state and federal agencies. He advises over 15 doctoral and masters students, focusing on hydrology, climate change, and environmental engineering.
- Education:
- BSc, Peking University (1978–1981)
- PhD, Johns Hopkins University (1986)
- Graduate Certificate in Higher Education, Griffith University (1996)
His research interests span hydrology, climatology, and water resources engineering, with global collaborations. Notable projects include the Global Rainfall Erosivity Database (GloREDa) and studies on land use changes. He contributes to the Australian Rivers Institute and has supervised over 20 doctoral projects, addressing topics like sediment dynamics, rainfall modeling, and climate extremes.
