Bobby Cockram is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Science at Shenandoah University's School of Health Professions. He holds a Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) and has extensive clinical experience in interventional cardiology, cardiac surgery, and critical care medicine.
- Educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Biology (Virginia Tech), Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (Jefferson College of Health Sciences), Master of Physician Assistant Studies (University of Nebraska College of Medicine), and Doctor of Medical Science (University of Lynchburg).
His research and teaching interests span clinical practice, healthcare leadership, and medical education. Professionally, he has held leadership roles such as Chief APP for Critical Care Service and Medicine Service Line APP Director at Inova Health System, with current work focused on system-wide APP direction and healthcare policy advocacy through the Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants.
He actively serves as a Director at Large on VAPA's Board, Chair of the Government Affairs Committee, and Delegate on the House of Delegates. His career bridges academic instruction, clinical practice, and organizational leadership in medical science.
