Bob Shryock is an Associate Professor and Program Director of the MFA Screen Acting program at Oklahoma City University's Department of Theatre. He teaches Independent Projects I & II, Movement II, and oversees collaborative film productions. His creative work explores themes of belonging, alone-ness, and imaginative storytelling across fantasy and science fiction genres. Originally from Manila, Philippines, he emphasizes compassion, collaboration, and rigorous play in his teaching.
Education:
- MFA from Accademia dell'Arte (Arezzo, Italy)
- Bachelor's in Theatre with Acting/Directing emphasis from Western Kentucky University
Research interests include screen acting pedagogy, interdisciplinary performance, and sustainable careers in entertainment. His production GOLD: the Midas Musical received critical acclaim, and his short films have garnered international recognition. He has held faculty roles at Academy of Art University (San Francisco) and Accademia dell'Arte, teaching at over 40 institutions worldwide.
