Bob Ricketts

Bob Ricketts has been a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Kinesiology at Pennsylvania State University since 1977. Known for innovative experiential education, he pioneered outdoor adventure courses (e.g., kayaking, backpacking in the Alps) to teach life skills beyond traditional classrooms. His programs include the Kinesiology Club (founded 1995, 350+ members), alumni roundtables, and career fairs. Students participate in goal-setting exercises where postcards are sent years later to track personal achievements.
