Dr Bob Lockie is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at the School of Human and Social Sciences, University of West London. With 30 years of university teaching experience, he specializes in the history and philosophy of psychology, individual differences, and cognitive psychology. His research bridges theoretical psychology and philosophy, focusing on epistemology, free will, and metaphilosophy.
Research initiatives align with SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), emphasizing philosophical critical thinking and moral responsibility. His seminal work, Free Will and Epistemology (2018), synthesizes two decades of research into the transcendental argument for freedom.
Lockie teaches across multiple psychology programs, including BSc (Hons) Psychology with Clinical and Counselling Skills, Criminal Investigation, and Educational Practice, as well as MSc Psychology Conversion and MRes Psychology courses.
